Wymondley Community Garden

Summer 2021

Before further clearance works, early October 2020

At its meeting on 20 May 2019, Wymondley Parish Council agreed to a proposal for a community garden on Plots 1-3 of the Great Wymondley Garden Plots. The Wymondley Community Garden can be found here.

Since its inception in 2019, the volunteer gardeners from the Parish have worked hard to clear overgrown vegetation, lay paths and early stages of planting have begun. Although a lot of work is still to be done, the Wymondley Community Garden has already become a lovely inclusive and accessible green space where people can meet outdoors, take in nature, learn new skills and get involved in gardening at any level or ability.

There is now a ‘Gardening Club’ that takes place every third Saturday of the month 9am-12pm which is open to all ages and abilities and free to all.

The Wymondley Community Garden has a dedicated website https://wymondleycommunitygarden.wordpress.com/ where you can see updates and read blogs posted by the volunteers, or you can follow the Wymondley Community Garden on Facebook or Instagram to see upcoming events.
