As with other local authorities, Wymondley Parish Council is required to prepare a budget each financial year, showing how it plans to spend its money.
It is also required to keep detailed accounts of its income and expenditure, and to have those accounts independently audited.
Wymondley Parish Council employs a Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) who is responsible for managing the Council’s finances. This includes keeping the accounts up-to-date; ensuring bills are paid on time by the Council, (and also by those owing money to the Council); reporting regularly to the Council on financial matters; ensuring audit arrangements are made and that legal requirements for publishing financial information are complied with.
The Parish Council has its own set of Financial Regulations, which can be seen here: WPC Financial Regulations 14 March 2022
Audited accounts are retained for the previous six complete financial years and are available on this website or from the Council’s RFO. (A fee of £1.00 will be charged for hard copies, to cover administration costs.)
